Promoting Menstrual Health, Dignity, and Equity
Menstrual hygiene is a fundamental component of women’s and girls’ health, dignity, and empowerment. Yet, for many, especially adolescent girls in underserved communities, the lack of access to safe menstrual products, proper hygiene facilities, and accurate information poses serious health risks and social challenges.
MOLDEV has carried out Menstrual hygiene awareness campaign and distributions hygiene products to 200 women in Angwan gada community of Tudun Wada, Jos North Local government Area of Plateau State.
Poor menstrual management often leads to school absenteeism, low self-esteem, and preventable infections, limiting girls’ educational and economic opportunities.
By addressing menstrual health needs, we promote menstrual equity, uphold human dignity, and strengthen the well-being and participation of women and girls in all aspects of life.
Investing in menstrual hygiene is not just a health issue, it’s a matter of equity, inclusion, and empowerment.
